N82 – Nokia’s new release

N82 – It’s What Cameras Have Become.
This is the caption given to the new device N82 released by Nokia on Nov 14th. It is a successor to N95. N82 is also a Multimedia Computer. It has all the features that N95 has. Most of the difference lies in the design.

This is a candy bar model instead of a slider. The reviews on its design is mixed of both criticisms and appraisals. According to me, the design is very different from other N-Series phones. It has a look similar to Sony Ericsson mobiles. It has a glossy screen as shown in the image nearby. It looks very much like the K810i in Sony Ericsson.
It concentrates more on imaging. It contains a xenon flash, which is the first of its kind in Nokia phones. The flash is very bright, that you cannot differentiate a photo taken in day and night. Width and Thickness are far less than N95 and other N-Series phones.
This phone lies comfortably between N95 and N95 8GB. It is better that N95 in many cases. But the battery power is less than N95 8GB. It also lacks the 8BG craze. However it comes with a 2GB card by default. This is the first Nokia is releasing a mobile with microUSB slot.
The keypad is very well designed to suit all kind of Applications. The best part of this phone is that is contains an Accelerometer, which detects the mobile orientation and changes the view accordingly. Like Apple’s IPhone, this phone changes the view from Landscape to Portrait and vice versa on just turning the device. This phone is expected to release in Dec 2007 across India.
Expected price : Rs, 26000 /-
